1)    Sit on the bike.  Place your hands on the handlebars, and feet on the pedals.

 

2)   Turn the pedals with your feet.  Make sure you have enough speed to keep the bike moving.

 

3)   Keep your balance and move the handlebars to avoid running into anything.

 

4)   Push back on the pedals to brake.  Do this when you are going to fast, or to avoid hitting something in your path.
