Getting to Bed

Get to bed!  There are few things as important as a good night’s sleep.  Getting to bed at an early hour is a beautiful gift that you can give yourself every night.  The next day you'll wake up early, well-rested, and be eager to take on the day.

Benjamin Franklin once said:  “Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.”  It’s hard to argue with one of the most successful men the world has ever seen.  And it just so happens that he’s right.  A small change in your sleeping habits can result in huge changes to your productivity.

Adults should get at least eight hours of sleep each night, and school-aged children actually need a couple more than that.  If you don’t reach this mark, you’ll spend the day sluggish and grumpy.  Your work will be poor and your grades will suffer.  You will be just a step too late to kick the winning goal, or play the right note, or answer the question correctly.

So turn off the TV and get to bed early tonight.  It’s easy to do, and you’ll be amazed by the results.
