Amazing Ace

Off in the distance, Mark saw a beam of light pointing to the sky.  It was coming from City Hall.  Mark looked up and saw the light reflecting against the clouds.  Just as he thought—it was the distress signal.  And it was meant for him.

Mark ran into a nearby closet.  He always kept his costume with him for moments like these.  As quick as lightning, Mark had changed into the Amazing Ace.

He ran from the closet and took off into the air.  He flew over the buildings until he saw police sirens far in the distant.  That's where they needed him.  He used his Amazing Vision and saw that thieves were running from the bank with bags full of money.

In a matter of seconds, he traveled several miles and was at the bank.  The thieves were running into the getaway car when they spotted him.

"Oh no!  The Amazing Ace!  Let's leave fast."

The driver tried to go, but the car wouldn't move.  He looked back to see that the Amazing Ace was holding onto the bumper.  The Amazing Ace picked up the car and turned it upside down until the thieves fell out.  A group of police officers ran to arrest the criminals.

Seeing that his job was done, the Amazing Ace left in a flash.

Moments later, Mark was sitting in his office.  "There you are, Mark," said one of his fellow workers.  "You just missed the news report.  There was a robbery downtown, but the Amazing Ace stopped the bad guys."

"Wow," said Mark.  "He always seems to show up when he's needed."
